Hello. This is Law Firm Jonjae.
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission appointed Yun Ji-sang, Managing Attorney of Law Firm Jonjae as a member of the 6th National Rights Advisory Committee. Managing Attorney Yun Ji-sang attended the new appointment ceremony and advisory committee meeting held at the Korea Press Center on February 1, 2024.
A legal professional bridging practice and scholarship
Managing Attorney Yun Ji-sang is a former chief judge who has served at the Seoul Central District Court, Seoul Family Court, Daejeon Family Court, and other courts. During his judicial career, he co-authored the Judicial Administration Office publication, Practical Guide to Inheritance Property Division and Forced Share Trials, and has been recognized as a leading legal professional in the field of inheritance practice. He has also co-authored Annotated Civil Act: Inheritance with Supreme Court Justice Min Yu-sook, demonstrating deep expertise in both practice and scholarship.
The role of a National Rights Advisory Committee member
National Rights Advisory Committee members serve two-year terms, proposing directions for the advancement of the rights and interests of the people of the Republic of Korea and advising on practical alternatives and action items that the public can truly feel.
In his remarks upon appointment, Managing Attorney Yun Ji-sang said, "As a lawyer, I will provide clear advice to further protect vulnerable groups such as the socially disadvantaged, improve fairness in hiring, and ensure that people are not left behind in policy blind spots." He also added, "I hope these efforts will have a positive impact on everyone who visits and works with Law Firm Jonjae."
From the courtroom to policy, the path Law Firm Jonjae has taken
This appointment marks Law Firm Jonjae's second collaboration with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, following the Administrative Appeals Integrated Advisory Group (2023.10.), to which Managing Attorneys Yun Ji-sang and Noh Jong-eon were appointed together. In addition to litigation in the courtroom, the two managing attorneys of Law Firm Jonjae continue to participate in efforts to expand the rights and interests of the public through laws and institutions — including the petition for the "Goo Hara Act," the Ministry of Justice's one-person household system improvement T/F, and activities with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission advisory group and advisory committee.
We will continue to share news from Law Firm Jonjae.
