KBC Gwangju Broadcasting, the leading broadcaster in Gwangju and Jeonnam, established a metropolitan broadcasting center in the Park One Building in Yeouido, Seoul for the first time among local private broadcasters. Equipped with a multi-purpose studio and state-of-the-art production facilities, this center is the first step toward KBC's vision of leaping beyond the regional boundaries of Gwangju and Jeonnam to become a global comprehensive content media group.
At the opening ceremony, about 200 people including Yoon Ho-jung, emergency committee chair of the Democratic Party, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, former Prime Ministers Chung Sye-kyun and Lee Nak-yeon, as well as political and business figures from both parties and heads of local governments, attended to congratulate KBC's new beginning.
Jung Seo-jin, Chairman of KBC, said at the opening ceremony, "Global viewers who are moved and excited by good content are increasing day by day", adding that he aspires to "create good content that can be watched and heard anywhere in the world."
