Appearance on MBN 'Sokpuli Show Dongchimi' — Managing Attorney Noh Jong-eon of Law Firm Jonjae

Hello. This is Law Firm Jonjae.
Law Firm Jonjae's Managing Attorney Noh Jong-eon, who appeared on MBN's 'Sokpuli Show Dongchimi,' presented an interesting analysis based on actual divorce case data, and it was reported by Newsen and several other media outlets.

"₩10 million in monthly living expenses, divorce rate is overwhelmingly low"

In the May 10, 2025 broadcast of MBN's 'Sokpuli Show Dongchimi,' the discussion centered on the theme 'We don't love each other, but we're married.' Managing Attorney Noh Jong-eon said, "Looking at divorce data, households where men bring in more than 10 million won a month for living expenses have an overwhelmingly low divorce rate," and added that "even if the husband is so busy that he doesn't pay attention to the family, the divorce rate is still low," sharing a trend he has actually felt in cases.

"The more considerate and homemaking the husband, the higher the divorce rate"

As the discussion continued that busy husbands replace expressions of love with material things such as money or luxury handbags, Lee Hyun-yi analyzed it as "material things that compensate for time." In response, Managing Attorney Noh Jong-eon pointed out that "rather, men who are considerate and cook and do laundry at home have a higher divorce rate," and that "ultimately, from a man's perspective, you have no choice but to choose one of the two, so it comes down to what you choose."

Attorney Noh Jong-eon's personal story in his 12th year of marriage

When asked what kind of husband he is at home, Managing Attorney Noh Jong-eon, now in his 12th year of marriage, shared his own experience, saying, "At first I felt responsible and worked hard at household chores too, but I got scolded a lot. I was told, 'Why is the bathroom cleaned like this?'" which drew sympathy from the cast.
